Cayke's Terms & Conditions
- Your initial deposit reserves your event date and is non-refundable.
- The balance for wedding cake orders is due 14 business days prior to the event. The balance for all other cake orders is due 5 business days before the event date. For short notice cakes, Cayke will require payment in full at the time of booking to guarantee your cake order will be processed.
- Cayke does not issue a balance reminder. Full and prompt payment is the customer's responsibility.
- We must receive the balance by the due date indicated or our obligation to supply the cake ceases and the deposit will not be refunded.
- Any changes requested to the size, style or flavours of the cake must be submitted in writing.
- The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of size, style or flavours of the cake. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.
- Cayke is not responsible for any damage to the cake after set up is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
- Cayke is not liable for any delay or damage caused directly or indirectly by weather conditions, accidents, fire, failure of manufacturers to deliver and any other events beyond our reasonable control.
- Cayke reserves the right to use our artistic judgement when designing and creating your cakes and may need to adjust your order accordingly.
- If, for any reason, Cayke is unable to complete the cake in accordance with the discussed design specifications, you will be contacted as soon as Cayke becomes aware of this and will be offered an alternative design element. If this is not to your satisfaction then you will be entitled to a full refund of any monies paid.
- You will be notified of any inedible items on the cake and it is your responsibility to pass this information on to your guests.
- If fresh flowers are to be used on your cake, these must be provided by a florist and you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects and/or insecticides, dirt and/or other contaminants.
- If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Cayke's possession.
- It is usual for us to photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or pomotion without compensation to you.
- Our products may come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for any allergic reactions.
- If you are not entirely happy with your cake, you must return it to us within 48 hours of the event date. We will not assume responsibility for any complaints where you cannot provide us with an adequate sample of the cake which clearly demonstrates the problem.
- You authorise Cayke to use information collected and to collect information from third parties for purposes relating to performance under this contract.
- If your event is cancelled or postponed and you no longer require your cake the following cancellation policy applies: up to 7 days before the event, loss of deposit. 48 hours before the event or less - you are responsible for the full balance of the cake.
